As children in Africa, late in the evening, I Pius, sat around the fireplace as our grandparents told us stories (African folktales). I decided to extract some of those stories from my mind and put them on paper. So How the Lion Became King of the Jungle, Hare’s Sticky Fingers, and Edward the Mosquito were written and published (both by Pius and Hilary Enyano as editor). We have used the money from book sales to drill a deep well in my village. When people heard I was raising money to build a well in my village, many loving people, family and friends came to our rescue and bought books and gave money to fund the whole project. I cannot thank everyone enough who bought a book and gave money to complete the well in my village that will benefit more than 300 people. My community suffers from a dry spell between January and June where in most cases lives are lost due to lack of water to help in food production. This will be a fountain of relief to the people in my village. In this profoundly arid part of the world, even the smallest pond can be a life-giving oasis.

With the Well project complete all future book sales go towards the building and funding of the Community Center and Trade School.
